Wok buffet is a restaurant organized on the principle of a buffet: payment is made upon entry, and then you can eat as much as you want without restrictions. This is especially convenient for families with children and groups with various taste preferences. In such restaurants, you'll find not only ready-made meat and fish dishes, appetizers, and side dishes but also a wide variety of seafood, fish, and vegetables that can be prepared for you right on the grill or using the wok system with various sauces. This includes different types of shrimp, scallops, mussels, and even crab.
Since such buffets usually require a lot of space, they are typically located outside the city centers, making them a bit challenging to find. It's a good idea to mark their addresses in your GPS or on Google Maps (which allows you to create custom maps with markers) in advance.
Most buffets do not close for a break from 4 to 7-8 PM, as most Spanish restaurants do, which can be inconvenient for tourists accustomed to eating when they're hungry rather than by a strict schedule.
You can also try ham, Argentine-style grilled meat, various types of olives, fresh oysters, and, of course, sushi.
Salads and marinated dishes, ham, appetizers, ready-made Chinese dishes, a variety of meat options - beef, pork, lamb, chicken, duck. You can either take them pre-cooked with various sauces or in their raw form, choosing your preferred meat, fish, and vegetables and handing them to the chef, who will grill or wok-cook them in front of you with one of the 7-8 sauces of varying spiciness according to your taste.
Sushi and rolls are usually available but in a simple form - with crab sticks, tuna, cucumber. Shrimp and red fish are also present.
There's also a dessert station with several types of pies or cakes (of medium quality), a wide selection of fruits (fresh and canned), ice cream, as well as yogurts, jellies, mousses.
The cost ranges from 15 to 20 euros for adults and from 7 to 8 euros for children. Usually, it's cheaper during the daytime on weekdays and slightly more expensive in the evenings, on weekends, and holidays. Sometimes, the price includes one drink (a glass of wine, beer, or a soft drink), while other times, all drinks are billed separately.
Tip: if you're dining with friends, order wine by the bottle rather than by the glass. It's more cost-effective.
